It never ends... Posted by Hello

Who do i know?? Who indeed

Hmm my email box was always filled with alot of junk, however recently i started getting these 'invitations' that went along the lines of 'Hello blah blah has added u to their list on some thingy'.

I was seriously getting 5 a day and every time it was click and delete hehe. The only ever one i actually didnt mind was the invitation 2 join orkut. Orkut as i have mentioned, is quite temperamental and i belive the owners have some kind of 'Treat them mean keep them keen' strategy which makes so many people use it!.

So i was getting bombarded every day and so i thought okk lemme bloody join the Hi5! And so i did and alas i got some peace .... or so i thought

The next day i started getting 'invitations' for this other bloody thing now it was some sms thingy which i ignored until i realised the joy of sending millions of text messages at the click of a button hehe. So i thought that would be it...

No it wasnt next day it was some bebe thing and finally this gazzag thing!!!

I just need to know how many people on these sites does one have to know?? They r never ending and for a person like me who finds having 2 emails one on hotmail and one on Yahoo confusing is totally messed up by all these sites!!

Someone save me plz and no more invitations i beg u!!!

Me and My Visa Card

I am in my 3rd week of my easter holidays, my revision is going badly i havent completed my assignments and the people in my group are complete wankers who wont respond to my emails. To try and resolve my problems i decided to go upon a journey which i like best!!! SHOPPPING!!!

My bank account is looking rather barren these days and im too impatient 2 wait for the next installment of Student loan so there is only one solution!! My beloved visa card :):):)

Im a firm beliver in not spending what you dont have but in this case i could see no other way out of my depression!. So at 2pm i arrived at the shopping centre, wide eyed like a child in a candy store!! First stop boots! For some much needed foundation and concealer (common i know i already have some but this is a new type that covers dark areas and retones the face) and some nevea cream :).

Next stop h&m - These shop was designed for punks and hippies however u can find some good stuff amongst the cherand lool! I managed to pick up a loveeeely black strap bag (i already have 5 but there are the wrong size and this material is in fashion) . I also managed to pick up these loveeely thin jumper thingies one in bright yellow and one in bright pink . (I couldnt decide which one 2 get so i bought both).

Next stop Dixons ... i have broken my earphones for the 20th time (im not exagerating) and so i went again to get some more!! I couldnt choose between the funky pink jvc or hitachi so after some soul searching i decided to stick with the hitachi! and i got some batteries for my mp3 player and this camera bag thingy.

And then there was this big bright sign saying SALE and i couldnt just walk away so i decided to take alot quite alot of crap actually but there was this one top which i felt was a bargain so i bought.

After an hour of more trapsing around the shops i was feeling kinda worn out so i decided to head homee...

I got home and saw the piles of paper still on my desk... Damn back 2 studying then :(

Muslim Youth Conference

Yea i know LOOOL!!! I went to this muslim youth conference the other day thinking i was about to be lectured about my evil ways however this conference was actually quite good!!

The title of the conference was : Muslim Youth : Current Challenges, Future Prospects.
This event was held in co-operation by Al-Khoei Foundation and Muslim Youth Helpline.

Firstly lemme chat about the MYH... They are amazing and they basically have this 24-7 helpline in which they help young people with problems that they are facing in todays world. Im actually thinking of becoming a volunteer over there hmmm why not!

So anyways back 2 the conference there were many good speakers one was firstly how could i 4get Howra who actually opened the conference she spoke well and very clearly (maybe next time she could write her own speech :P). Next was Shareefa the director of MYH and she did a god job as well, i love her speaking skills execllent 4 such a young girl!. (looks 16 sounds 27)

Some important people :The Mp for Brent-East (Youngest ever Mp), Fiona Mactaggart , Minister of state, amongst lawyers, judges, University Lecturors, Journalists 2 many 2 mention!!. The issues discussed were : Young people and civic engagement, Young people and Political Processes, Civil Liberties, Family and community and discrimination. It was a really really enagaging conference and i learnt alot .. hopefully there will be more in the future.

Saudi Arabia bans forced marriage

'Saudi Arabia's top religious authority has banned the practice of forcing women to marry against their will.'

I have one thing 2 say about the above quote and that is: ABOUT BLOODY TIME!!!

What kind of islam do these people practice??? Thousands of years after the prophet told people that forced marriage are outlawed these ppl just woke up 2 it now!! (Similar to the law that Iran Govt introduced a couple of months ago banning torture in prisons when it is already outlawed in Islam!!)

'The ban is a significant victory for women's rights in Saudi Arabia, where females face a range of restrictions.'

Loool 'a range' or complete restrictions they cant vote they cant drive they have absolutely no voice in this country! Women are not treated liked 2nd class citizens cos even that would be something they are treated like absolute nothing!!!

The saudi govt is extreamly rich yet approximately 3/4 of the population live in absolute poverty !!!???? Why??!! They have so much money but they only know how to use it to fill their stomachs and increase the number of mercedes they have!

A normal ruler would want a prosperous country in which everyone was above the absolute poverty line! A country which embraced education and human rights! Obviously not these people!

When r these ppl gonna learn....

Zahra Kazemi Posted by Hello

Zahra Kazemi - Will Justice ever prevail?/

Normally people start their blogs with a brief description of themselves maybe something detailing their aims and ambitions or maybe their hobbies.. But not me! Today i wanna rant and rave about something important to me .. The issue of Zahra Kazemi.

For those of you who have never heard of her she was an Iranian-Canadian Photojournalist who was killed in the notorious prisons of Evin after taking pictures of a protest outside the prison.

This was in 2003 however the issue has been brought up again recently in the news ' Canada withdraws from Iran event' . Justice was never served for Zahra Kazemi as '
Iran insists she died after fainting and hitting her head'- even though it was actually proven that a member of the secret service had beaten her in prison !!!

Since the day i heard this story till now my heart fills with sorrow not just for this woman but for all the woman and men who are suffering for no reason in Iran's jails. It makes me wonder just how many people suffered the same plight of Zahra Kazemi who didn't have any links to any western country and were simply forgotten!!

To me Zahra Kazemi is not just one person & one isolated case she is like a representative for all those who died at the hands of these brutal people and just like i hope for Zahra Kazemi i hope all of them get the justice they deserve.
